Being a part of a beautiful country like Hungary was a chance to improve me to experience multicultural and open-minded society but in addition to this being part of a bigger community like the University of Szeged gave me thwe chance to improve myself as a better human being and a better opera singer which it was a dream since I know myself.
This month once again the university published the new bruchure and I am honored to be appeared in this beautiful magazine as a University of Szeged alumni who have found his way to be better.

ZHANG YU Carolyn
Zhang Yu Carolyn was born in a „small” Chinese city with a
population of only six million. After graduating as a vocal coach she
continued her studies at the University of Szeged. Her voice has
toured Europe, she speaks excellent Hungarian, what is more: in
China she is considered the ambassador of Hungarian folk music.
Presently, Ms. Zhang Yu, the only active Chinese coloratura soprano
opera singer in Hungary is a lecturer of the Béla Bartók Faculty of
Arts, University of Szeged.
